Ocean & Coasts Introduction
Volcanology: Specialize in the study of volcanoes. You must be brace and willing to take risks. You get to go out and travel and find volcanoes and study them, some that may have not been classified.
Education requirements: You have to start off with a bachelors degree in geology. The minimum education you can have is a masters degree but you aren't at a high level in the job with that. The higher level workers have Ph.D's. You must be skilled in math, chemistry, physics, and biology.
Outlook: You have to live in tents for months at a time. You have to be able to backpack, hike, climb, etc. You must be able to understand volcanoes and how they work if you want to have this job. Volcanologists usually make about 76,000 to 86,000 dollars per year, if you are a higher level worker.
